Tim's works are an engaging, intricate mix of detail and intuitive use of colour. The patterns in his subjects, and in the world, are of special interest and he uses them to form strong, bold details. He layers meaning into his work which is seen through careful observation. His Linocut series are incredibly striking - a feast of patterns and possibilities to excite the eye and the imagination. His style is both naive and structured to suit his purposes. He has won a major regional open art competition, been highly commended at the Duroloid Silk Cut Awards (Melbourne) and at the Mansfield Hospital Art Show several times. Tim featured in the symposium "Geniuses, Prodigies and Savants" in Sydney in 1999 and one of his paintings was purchased for the Department of Psychology in San Francisco.
