John was born in Australia, spent his childhood in Greece and returned to Australia as a seven year old with his parents and sisters.
John's work is emotionally honest; there is no artifice or shield to hide his feelings. He's at his best when painting in a freer style. His work is both simple and complex - shades of colour and tones show the emotional landscape of his world. His work "Campfire" is full of detail captured in a carefully simple way - the embers, the kaleidoscope of colours in the flames and his pleasure at being there. John does not always name his pictures, so we select titles reflective of our responses to these works. John has been commended in regional art open competitions.
